Bandai Namco has announced a new online action role-playing game for PC called Blue Protocol, and it looks gorgeous.
Bandai Namco shared an in-development screenshot of the game, showing off the game’s heavy anime inspired art style. Feast your eyes on it below.
Little else is known about the game at the moment, but the game’s official English description is as follows:”The world is on the brink of devastation, now is the time to unite. March on with friends and strangers, and defeat foes beyond your might. Travel through space and time, to change the future beyond this fight!” (via Kotaku).
Blue Protocol is being developed by a team called Project Sky Blue, which includes members from Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studio. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 4.
According to Kotaku, more details are expected to be announced in the coming days.
I may be jumping the gun with this, but I’m already excited for Blue Protocol. The art style looks stunning and Bandai Namco generally have a decent track record of making JRPG games – which I’m assuming this could very well be in some capacity.
I’d expect more information next week, hopefully in the form of a trailer so we can get a better glimpse at the game and when we can expect it – my guess is no earlier than 2020.
